Chauweda Smith is a licensed Clinical therapist and Life Coach that works with a diverse population. She is also a Clinical Supervisor, Social Work CEU facilitator, community advocate, consultant and speaker.
Within the past 12 years, she has held a variety of positions in settings such as residential, community based, schools, hospitals, Department of Juvenile Justice and corrections and has worked with all ages within these settings.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Pan-African Studies, a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Master’s degree in Social Work all from the University of Louisville. Chauweda is also trained in EMDR and utilizes this therapeutic approach with her clients suffering from trauma.
Chauweda grew up in the West End of Louisville in which she is passionate about giving back to her community. She believes her life experiences are what makes her a compassionate and relatable therapist who sees potential in everyone.
Chauweda is a life-long learner who is currently a doctoral student at Spalding specializing in Community and Agency Leadership.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, reading, traveling and exercising.
